10 Pictures on the 10th- Week 2: 1/2012.

This is my second week participating on “10 on 10″  project!!! YAY!!!!!

10 pictures will be posted on the 10th of each month. 10 pictures taken the same day, possibly, one every hour. Representing the chaos of my life… the fun in one day. The perspectives capturing moments, and creativity of my photography and the photography of nine other amazing ladies that are sharing this project with me (I am linking Ginger’s site, but continue with the circle to peak on the work of all of us!!! wanna have fun? :-))

Yesterday, I took my pictures. It was a rainy and very dimmed lighted day. After participating in the workshop of Detra (“Finding The Light”) I learnt to work with the light I have. And I learnt to fall in love with each of them. No matter the time of the day, no matter how strong the light could be. I just learnt to love them all ;-) In this post, you will not see much haze & flare, but you will be able to see the drama that only rainy days’ light can bring. Here I am posting my 10 faves. I hope you like them as much as I do =)

Not much done during the day. Just staying at home with family and getting wet going here and there. It was a pretty calm and beautiful day. Enjoying the visit of my parents and the love of my kids. So complete, so in peace =)

*** After checking out my post, please go to check out Ginger’s blog to see her outstanding work. You can’t miss it! ***

Cris’ Notes on Pics Above ;-):

1- Not very creative writing on the wet window, but could not avoid the temptation

2- Who does not like to step with the rain boots on a pond of water? I do =)

3- This is my boy. Looks exactly like my hubby (handsome huh? ;-)) He was nice to let me take a couple of pics. Here we were at the cover patio enjoying the rain

4- This is my clear umbrella. I love it. But my kids broke it :-( Wanted to share with you what I love from it: seeing the drops of the rain falling on it… isn’t it pretty?

5- Welcome winter. Almost all trees are with no leaves here. Love seing  the rain falling on these little branches.

6- Another shot of Lucas. When I tell him to look at me, of course, he doesn’t. This is just an example =)

7- I sat down next to the BBW pit. I was looking at the beautiful drops of water. I stayed there for some minutes waiting for the drop to fall. Wanted

capture that moment but of course, missed it. Well… I tried….

8- This is a self portrait- I am in my editing studio watching the rain fall. It was very dark in the room and a dimmed light coming in.

I usually don’t take pictures of myself. This is the reason I include this one. In 2012, I will continue going out of my comfort zone… mmm

9-  While walking around the lake, holding the camera, the umbrella, and the hand of my son (yes, sometimes I feel like I am an octopus… how I can hold so many things??)

I noticed write in front of us this little guy… I have never seen one in my neighborhood, so it was a perfect timing for a picture and introduction to you guys! hehe

10- Sitting with Lucas in the cover patio, while the raining was stopping little by little, I saw this beautiful plant reflected on a little pond that was on a wooden bench…

Love it!

Hope you like them,

Breathless. Your work truly inspires me. It provokes thought. I go back to your images often. The window with the curtains is an inspired location – I can’t wait to see more photos there:) I am glad to hear that your son will also refuse to look at you;) I love your perspective though and his little smile. I now NEED a clear umbrella. This is a fantastic image of lines and shapes. and, I have to say – the water droplet shot – I have an almost identical one from my 365 in 2010 – http://www.flickr.com/photos/22719751@N02/4562705127/in/set-72157623667271613
